Japanese Microwave Egg Cooker Cooking Container #2034

Don't bother
For $7.99 you'd think this would be something besides 2 small pieces of plastic, made in Japan with instructions ONLY in Japanese! During cooking, the lid came off (there is nothing to hold the lid on except gravity), and eggs exploded everywhere. Price should be more like $1.99. DON'T BOTHER! Use a container from your last restaurant take out meal!

works as promised....
I use this little dish to reheat small portions in the microwave. It works as advertised and cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher. The lid is a nice bonus to keep things from splattering and it also fits some of my other small microwavable dishes. I did deduct one star for price - it's little spendy for what it is but I have to say this particular dish gets a lot more use in my home than other microwave dishes so I won't complain *too* hard about the cost.

My microwave is up high on top of the refrigerator so I really I like the dove-tail shaped handle which is much safer for me to grip with hot food coming out at shoulder height. This dish is very small though so please check the dimensions to make sure this is a good fit for you; can hold two large eggs, and with the lid on would fit something the size of an average bagel. Serves my needs well and very pleased with this purchase.

Recommended.

Japanese egg cooker
Cooks eggs nicely and the taste is good. It's a little too big for just one egg so I add some liquid egg whites to it.
