A lifesaver
This jar lifter is essential for canning. It easily grabs and lifts the jars from the boiling water, while maintaining a secure grip. I am new to canning but knew right away I would need one of these. I picked my Ball Jar Lifer up at Walmart for about $2.50. Typically Amazon has great prices, but I found everything I needed for canning to be considerable cheaper locally. Typical kitchen tongs will not do the trick so spare yourself the possibility of injury or scalding and invest in one of these. I think the quality is such it will last years.
