Berndes 10-1/4-Inch Square Glass Lid

hard to find cover
This is a wonderfully made cover, it does not fit my square pan, exactly, but it appears to be the only square cover, out there, that is sold separately,

glass lid
This glass lid, for Berndes 10-1/4 inch square frying pan works well, but, is made of glass.

Fabulous cookware
After reading a review of a Berndes skillet in the New York Times I asked for one for Christmas. I have since purchased two more different sizes. The rest of my cookware is AllClad, which is wonderful, but these skillets replace all the non-stick ones I had. The ceramic coating comes without the health concerns that teflon and other non-stick coatings may have. Clean-up is easy, no soaking or scrubbing necessary. There's also no staining of the beautiful white ceramic coating. I am purchasing a set as a wedding gift for a couple who loves to cook and I look forward to their response. I think my shipment was a refurbished one...
I have been thinking about purchasing this cookware for a while because I think it is a bit pricey but I trust Brandes quality. Anyway, I order the set from Amazon for my birthday with such anticipation. My excitement was turned into a disappointment, when I unwrapped the product and saw the holes and black scratches on the cookware. On one of the tempered glass lids, the connection to the ream was broken and I have pictures to proof it.

It is quite aggravating because I cannot return the products as I am overseas on assignment and will be here for a while. I chose not to pay excessive shipping cost back to the USA to return the product. It is quite reasonable for me to expect to receive a brand new, undamaged product. I fulfilled my responsibility the minute I paid the asking price and the shipping fee.

I am mad and very disappointed in Berndes for failing to provide quality control before sending their product to their customer. I have paid in full and the...

Berndes 15-Piece Signocast Cookware Set

The BEST
Cooking is my passion, however due to financial restraints, I've never purchased REAL, QUALITY cookware in the past.
I sprung for this set 2 weeks ago. Now I regret waiting so long for what is really a very good price for the best!
Other reviews cover the excellent non-stick surfaces. Nothing sticks to these pans!
One thing I didn't read is that these tools do NOT need alot of heat to create perfect dishes.
Here's my tip...
1) Use a lower heat than you're used to
2) Take an extra minute or 2 in the cooking process
3) The end result will be a perfectly cooked product.
You won't be disappointed.
